Happy Mail From Beth

Creative Crafty Friends on FB has some great swaps going on. Today I received some happy mail from Beth Broadway. I believe Beth would send me happy mail even if it wasn’t for a swap. She’s becoming a good friend. Her and her mom Phillis. I still can’t believe they are mother and daughter. I met them both on FB and follow them on Instagram. Small world, isn’t it? But. Happy mail. I got some today.

Beth makes the most beautiful tags! Ink and stencils – reminds me I need to get back on my stencil project. Hahaha! Thanks, Beth! Trying to keep me on track isn’t easy. I love all these tags and they are in my colors!

Monoprints – think gelli plate pulls. Those blues are incredible! I can’t wait to try them all! For those that don’t recognize that one on the left and to the top – that is deli paper. Think Italian sandwiches in a little cafe. Deli paper works great with gelli plate pulls or for roll off from your brayer. One way you can use these papers is in collage art. I am sure there are other ways but that is what I do with them. Awesome colors, Beth!

This made me smile. It reminded me of a book my Dad gave me back in the 50’s. I have no idea where it is now – but this made me think of it and smile. I couldn’t imagine pulling pages out of this old book. I mean, look at the price! 30 cents. That tells you this isn’t new but I could not find a date in it anywhere. I did see that a page had already been pulled out so now I don’t feel so bad. Hahahaha! I will definitely put this sheet music to good use and maybe even share a sheet with a friend.

Check out this ATC. Isn’t it wonderful! Corrugated cardboard. Did I spell that right??? I love the ink splatters on the watercolored background and the ephemera! It is awesome, Beth!

And my favorite piece is this folding book. It’s 3″ square all tied up with a pretty ribbon and when you untie it the book folds out with a load of pages!

A total of 44 work surfaces in all if you work front and back! Perfect for tangling! I can’t wait to get started! It is going to be awesome and I will show you when I get it done! Thanks, Beth, it’s beautiful!

The covers feel like canvas and Beth has painted and stenciled them and scribble wrote on them and splatter inked them. So much attention to detail. I absolutely love it! Could you tell?

A super way to start my day! Thank you so much, Beth, but mostly thank you for your friendship! I am blessed!

Why should Beth and I have all the fun? Join us at Creative Crafty Friends and you can get in on the fun, too!
