New Project in the Works

Who doesn’t love a new project? Hahahaha! That depends on how many projects you have going on at any given time. For me, one project is coming to an end and it’s time to start a new one. And you get a sneak peek today!

It all begins with some inexpensive paints from Walmart and some Bristol Illustrated paper from Hahnemühle. They will be explained in a future post.

This is a digital stamp I purchased from Hannah Lynn’s Etsy store. I printed it out on the Bristol and colored it with Copic markers. After running it through the sticker machine I trimmed around the artwork and got the piece ready to adhere.

You are going to be seeing this book a lot! I made it using more Bristol Illustrated from Hahnemühle and bound it with my Bind-It-All machine. For the title page I cut those papers into smaller sections and adhered them with Scor Tape. Yes, one of them is crooked and there is nothing I can do about that. Scor Tape does not forgive. But I can camouflage it a bit.

My pretty little book fairy fit right across the middle and covered up some of that overlap boo-boo. Isn’t she adorable?

I stamped in the year and made a note about the product used in making the colorful papers. I wish I had better handwriting. Years of taking interview notes as a police officer killed my handwriting.

After just a tad of tangling and white highlights with a gel pen – my title page is practically complete. Practically? Well, yes. I need to add the name of my project somewhere. But you can’t see that until I am ready to announce what the project is! Hahahaha! It’s going to be fun! I promise!

  1. Ohhhh how exciting!!!! Love when you do projects! Can’t wait to see! This page was so pretty!

    • I was. for 27 years. and now I’ve been retired for 21 years, so like another lifetime ago 🙂

  2. Another perfect example of matching the colours of the background to the colours in the image! Love how the yellows catch the eye in various places including that little lantern. Speaking of which, suprisingly your Printemps clusters seem to echo that lantern – not sure quite how or why but it seems to!

  3. I’m waiting… suspense… big tease 🤣🤣🙏🏻🙏🏻

    • Thanks, I’ll post my first week’s pages tomorrow if the internet cooperates
