Building artist trading cards (ATCs) and swapping them is a lot of fun! Creative Crafty Friends recently hosted a Letter H Swap and I may have gone a little loopy for one of the two I made! Let me show you.
But first. I needed to make two ATCs with the letter H in mind. The first one was really simple. I pulled out all the hearts I could find, ran them through my sticker machine, and adhered as many as I could fit on the black ATC base. I even added a couple sentiments.
To pull it all together and cover up some of those black spaces, I inked all the way around with my Archival black ink pad. And I had the first ATC completed. Probably the easiest one I’ve ever made.
For my second ATC, I used a couple gelli prints I made recently for my 2.5″ x 3.5″ base. I used two different color inks for splatters, and this really cool tool that is no longer available for purchase to roll some ink tracks along a couple edges. This is the perfect little bunny! Or ‘hare‘ which starts with H. I even looked it up. Hares have long ears. Sweet! And of course – he went through my sticker machine.
I needed some spiffy words! Hahahaha! And this is what came to mind . . . got my hares did! Hahahahahaha! Perfection!
You know I am always looking for more layers, more texture, more oomph. So I brought in some little Korean characters from my dictionary and glued them in place.
But they were really stark white. So I finger-painted them 🙂 .
I removed the paper backing and stuck my little hare in place. Hahahaha! I put my hair in place. Hehehehehe! Hard to see, but I used a clear glitter gel pen to add some sparkles. And used some Zots to add the flower.
But it isn’t complete until the edges are done. I used that same black Archival ink pad to ink the edges and scuff up the front a little. And my two Letter H ATCs were done. They have been shipped out to their new home. Hopefully someone loves them!
Posts are happening as I can get online to do them. Everyone in the world is currently interneting, so that makes it a little harder. I am trying to post every day and now we have a reliable mail service to get the information to you. So, until tomorrow. Stay safe!
