Fairy Starts With F

Ready for the Letter F ATC Swap? Creative Crafty Friends has kept me busy this month. I need to get all the swaps finished because I have something else to work on. Let me show you my first ATC for the letter F.

I began with this super little digital stamp I purchased at Hannah Lynn’s Etsy Shop. This a full page size coloring sheet, but I put her into a Word document and reduced her to ATC size. That would be 2.5″ x 3.5″ small. Coloring was done with Copic markers.

I had this really beautiful gelli print I made using Hahnemühle‘s Bamboo Mixed Media paper and the colors were perfect with the little fairy’s dress. So I cut out a 2.5″ x 3.5″ ATC and trimmed around the fairy Hannah Lynn called Tinkerbell. I don’t think she looks like Tinkerbell but Hannah Lynn does. And I ran the stamp through my sticker machine to make it easier to adhere her to the ATC when the time came.

I used some red Bombay India ink and a fan brush to make some splatters – and apparently streaks – on the background.

This moss colored Dyestress Ink Pad was the perfect compliment for inking the edges of the ATC.

Doesn’t it look great with that moss color? I trimmed out my little fairy and adhered her to the ATC. I wanted to keep some of the bling around the pixie dust bottle so I just left that big. I used a clear gel pen to add some shimmer to her wings and to the bottle of pixie dust, then added some gold accents around the bottle.

Some gold accents also came in the shape of line stickers from Hot Off the Press.

I thought she was pretty much perfect so I stopped there. This little fairy is already in the sky headed south to her new home. And since I purchased that digital stamp I can make another one any time I want. Creative Crafty Friends is the happening place, why don’t you come check it out?

  1. Love her big pale blue eyes & that dress is wonderful – copics are perfect for that type of thing aren’t they? Can see you’ve had a VERY busy time with these swaps. Am about to get stuck into Excel spreadsheets………..but that might just lead to my being able to put together an official Tangle reference tool that I had on a previous computer before it got wiped, cross linked to my tangle books & a master Lever Arch file of hard copies.

    • it would be great if you could get all that organized again. and all in one place is even better
