Tangle Time

I had a busy week tangle-wise. Mark was gone for a few days and I had a lot of art time. Here are a few of the tiles I made:

Most of these were YouTangle.art Tiles from Hahnemühle. Tangling was done with technical pens from Zebra Pen. The color was Distress Ink Pads used like a watercolor. Tangles are floral, floral2, viola and pin wheel.

Super simple tile using TootsieMoon and printemps. I believe the color is also distress ink pads. Not totally sure on this one. It has been too long since I added color.

The color on this one is Lindy’s Shakers. So much fun! Tangles are crescent moon, printemps, diva dance rock n’ roll and hollibaugh. Basic z-string tile.

This tile was colored using a water squirt gun filled with watered down food dye 🙂 . Tangles are wrapper, star fire and printemps.

Remember this tile from a month or so ago? The color is from Cosmic Shimmer Opal Polish – lilac rose and blue wisteria. Back when I made the original post showing how I made this tile I mentioned that even though it looks like there are ridges on those darker purple lines – they are actually flat and smooth.

I used those areas to act as a string for my tangling. And I kept this one fairly straight forth and simple. Printemps and diva dance rock n’ roll. I know I use those two patterns a lot lately. I just really like how they look together and mimic the round shape. And here they mimic the round purple shapes.

And that’s it for today. While Mark was gone I actually tangled 19 tiles all total. I played with gelli plates and made several ATCs and did a lot of work with my FB group Tangle All Around. Very productive time in between running the dog outside and trying not to freeze. Mark got home in time for Thanksgiving. We went to Jason and Bobbie’s for dinner. Bobbie’s first whole turkey and she did a great job! Everything was super yummy!

It was all yummy! Green bean casserole, deviled eggs, macaroni with a crazy amount of cheese, turkey and a fruit filled awesome and yummy cake!

It was a great Thanksgiving. And yes, I know you are reading this 3 or 4 days down the road. I try to schedule posts that far in advance. Just in case life happens. Hahahaha! Have a great week!

  1. Sounds like you had a great time. We went to a restaurant and turns out they didn’t do anything special for Thanksgiving. No pumpkin pie even. I had their regular turkey dinner and it was slice deli meat! *sigh*
Made up for it by going to Cracker Barrel tonight and having their fried turkey dinner.

    • I like Cracker Barrel, just one more place we don’t have in Maine. I bet their fried turkey was great!

  2. Lovely to see your Thanksgiving photos – good to hear Mark got home in time to celebrate with you.
That’s a lot of tangling – keep warm.
